PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING

Lynette Kessler offers professional development training in somatic movement to organizations and institutions. This experiential workshop is designed to the specific needs of your group and is appropriate for all movement abilities and experience.

Imagination is an incredible asset for us humans. Not only does imagination advance our work, imagination brings us joy and deeper meaning. Together we practice ways to center, focus, and connect into the flow of imagining. Through a process of internally focused movement we experience a recalibration within.

As our intrinsic systems calm and rejuvenate we feel compassion for our over thinking minds. We experience ourselves as creative and resilient beings. These are the extreme skills for today– imagination, compassion, resilience, and being able to manifest again and again. And, we practice embodying what it is to be truly adaptable.

Lynette has led movement workshops for over 30 years at such places as the Bioneers Conference, Deepak Chopra Center, California Dance Educators Association Conference, LA Theater Work’s program for incarcerated youth, Child Counseling Center & Play Therapy Institute of New Mexico to a name a few. She has presented at numerous universities and conferences throughout the United States, Canada and UK, such as Stanford, UCLA, University of California Irvine, and San Francisco State University.

Child Counseling Center and Play Therapy Institute of New Mexico

Lynette Kessler presented an experiential webinar for counselors and
therapists at our child counseling center and training organization. This
training was open to the public, and therapists could receive continuing
education hours from the State of New Mexico. Participants stated they
were eager to put the somatic tools into practice personally and for
those they work with. Attendees expressed appreciation for Lynette’s
depth of experience in movement therapy. It was the first time one of
our presenters received 100% on every survey.

Linda Sue Marks-Guarnieri, Choir Director

We created our own village together through Lynette’s movement ritual
where everyone was engaged from the youngest children to our elders.
Lynette’s workshop integrated thought, emotion and movement really
well for our community choir retreat.

Janice, Physical Therapist

Lynette’s in-depth understanding of integrated body systems from decades of teaching Continuum and being a professional dancer is obvious. I have come away with new ways for teaching my own clients how to gain supple strength and decrease inflammation through movement and most importantly, all while de-stressing.
